Lower Maze Football Club                                            

                           

The Commitee and Players of Lower Maze fc are saddened by the news that Dylan Livingstone who played for the under 13s and has been a member of the club since aged 9 has passed away after a battle with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dylans family at this sad time

50TH ANNIVERSARY :  20TH august see's Lower Maze celebrate their 50th season in local football .  Events to mark the occasion are in planning and hope to be announced soon . to hear Jim Beckett recall those early years  click on the 50th anniversary link.

 

Welcome to the official homepage of Lower Maze Football Club. Lower Maze are a small rural football club from just outside Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

 The Club currently consists of a senior squad of two teams that compete in the Mid-Ulster Intermediate division 1a and the reserve division , and an ever expanding junior section that currently consist of four teams that compete in the Castlereagh George Best under 10s league and the Lisburn Junior Invitational League at under 11s , 12s and 13s age groups . The junior section of the club was formed in 2007 , initially with two teams but has rapidly progressed to which the club currently has over 70 boys training regularly.

   Latest News from the Bog Road : 

Under 12s get first win :Congratulations and well played to the boys of the under 12s, having been unlucky in a lot of close matches this season the under 12 had not had a draw or win all season . and in an excellent performance final got that win in a 4-2 win over loughside . the joy at the end was as good as a cup win.

  Callum Portis: All at Lmfc were shocked by the horrific injury to Callum in the under 14 match on sat 15 January , Callum suffered a break to the leg , we wish wee C a full and speedy recovery and hope to see you back with us soon .

 

 Congratulations to the under 13s who have qualified for the shield final after seeing of a battling Shankill team 6-3. well done boys and good luck  in the final . although we understanding the joy of the boys in their achievement , grown men should be able to contain there emotions a bit better than coaches eric mccleery and ashley parker .   

 Under 13s winners of the Lisburn Junior Invitational Shield , in a hard fought final the wee Maze running out 4-2 winners . congratulations to all the boys . the Under 13s wish to dedicate this to our team mate Dlyan . always in out thoughts .

New Manager announced : Gerry Kerr has been announced as the new first team manager of Lower Maze Fc  first XI . Gerry a former manager with Lisburn Rangers and Crumlin Utd as well as a long career in local management and playing in local league football .

  

TRAINING : Training has now recommenced for all teams  with children born 1999- 2002 training on Monday nights , Bog rd , 6-30pm

                          Training for 1998s , Wednesdays 6-30pm , 1997s Wednesdays 7-00pm

                          Training for Senior teams Tuesdays and Thursdays 7pm

 

COACHES AND PLAYERS REQUIRED FOR SEASON 2011 -2012

The Junior club are currently seeking players and coaches for next season.
